Our Services

Program/Project Management

PM requires not only technical project knowledge, but also contextual understanding combined with the inter-personal and communication skills to actually be effective. It’s this combination, along with integrity and appreciation for multiple perspectives, that help DCME staff be exceptionally capable in managing projects and teams.

Construction Management

CM is similar to PM, but with a twist…and maybe with a salty rim. It’s similar in that the management challenges still often lie in balancing the dynamic systems and personalities of the project team, but the added technical aspects (steel, concrete, asphalt, and dirt) can make the cocktail a little more flavorful. DCME’s love of the physical construction realm and our depth of hands-on building experience translates directly to quality and effectiveness in our work, and value for our clients.

Field Inspection & Technical Oversight

Working onsite in the field, being part of building public works projects that improve the community we live in, is exactly what appealed to us about our industry in the first place. We look forward to diving into the details of a challenging project, understanding the design requirements along with the site constraints and fulfilling the necessary tasks and steps to oversee the accurate and quality completion of a great project that will help support and improve our local community.

Resident Engineer/Structures Rep

Should your project need a management role with a more technical title [as defined by the State DOT in Chapter 1-105B & C], and administered with more specifically defined procedures, protocol, and forms [such as those found in Chapter 5-101B]…we can support that work as well. All of our projects are administered with organized document control and procedural protocol, and we have completed dozens of projects that included the Records & Procedures required by CalTrans CM & LAPM guidelines.

Facilitation/Staff Augmentation

Davis CME holds a firm belief in the importance of finding and offering the appropriate level of service for your project. Equally important, is providing the appropriate role. The right role for the client/project may not be the standard title or typical classification that we are used to using; we welcome the opportunity to provide any support that may facilitate progress on your project or special task, including working along-side your staff to help advance your cause.

Civil Engineering

DCME has roots in Civil Engineering, including in-house professional staff, licensed to operate in the State of California. Our civil engineering roots are further strengthened, however, by our actual construction experience outside the engineering design office—which is an increasingly valuable and rare trait. We look forward to combining our actual hands-on construction-phase technical experience with our engineering educational and experiential background, to offer services that will be unparalleled in both quality and value.
